Baldwin High School PTSA Meetings for 2012-2013

Meetings are at 9:30a.m.
Room 322
                                                                                    We are asking you to arrive by 9:15 AM. to the pool entrance located in the South Lot of the Baldwin High school.   A security guard will meet us there as a group and then escort us to
Room 322. 

If you arrive after 9:15 AM. or you see the guard isn't there, you will need to enter the building using the main entrance, sign-in with the security guard and then proceed to Room 322.

The meetings are held the
second Thursday of each month.

Baldwin High School PTSA 2012 - 2013 Membership

BHS PTSA would like to thank all who helped make 2011-12 a successful year for both the school and mostly, our children.  Listed are several of the accomplishments this past year.

  • Five $100 teacher grants offered for student enrichment to those teachers who were current PTSA members
  • PTSA was able to fund three scholarships in the amount of $500 each for graduating seniors attending higher education
  • 9th Grade Activities Fair and Orientation
  • The PTSA celebrates Nurse’s Day, Secretaries’ Day, and Staff Appreciation Day
  • To help fund some of our projects, Baldwin High School PTSA sells T-shirts appropriate for students to use in physical education class
  • Helped BHS administration host Senior Class Day activities and Picnic
  • Spirit wear sales
  • Hosted a very successful "Have a Nice Day Cafe"

PTSA membership dues are only $6.00 per person.  Please join by filling in the membership form below and returning it together with your dues, (checks should be make payable to Baldwin High School PTSA) to the Baldwin High School Office, PTSA Mailbox.
Membership cards will only be mailed home if you supply a stamped, return envelope.

In addition to your membership dues, please consider a donation to the PTSA. 
All donations are tax deductible, as Baldwin High School PTSA is a non-profit charitable organization.

Please remember:  In order to qualify for the PTSA Senior Scholarship, the student applicant and one parent/guardian must be members of the Baldwin High School PTSA.
For every year of student and parent/guardian membership, an additional chance of winning the PTSA Senior Scholarship will be awarded.

Remember, membership needs to be renewed yearly.

Recyle your newspaper!






Please bring your old papers and place in the green and yellow Abitibi bin that is located in the South Parking Lot (Pool Entrance).   Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, and any kind of paper is acceptable (even shredded).    Please do not place phone books or cardboard in the bin. Money collected from this project will help fund the programs for the B - W Council of PTA.  Thanks for your support."

"Congratulations to the 2012-2013 Teacher Grant Recipients. 

BHS PTSA is honored to award four $100 grants to:
Beth Giles, Science - Purchase a Polydron Bridge Set for classroom project.

Joshua Stahl, Special Ed. - Purchase a slow cooker and electric griddle for Life Skills program.

Donna Vecchio, Mathematics - Purchase 20 computer mice and 48 headphones for use with portable computers carts.

Janeen Peretin, BHS Admin. - Purchase 30 tri-fold frame/clock/caddies for Highlander Pride award winners."

Senior Scholarship(s)

The BHS PTSA Senior Scholarship Application is currently available from Ms. Joy in the Guidance Department. 
Please stop by to see her and pick one up. 

  • The senior student and one parent must be current PTSA members.
  • For each additional year that the student and one parent were PTSA members, the student will receive another chance in the random drawing for the scholarship (maximum of four chances). 
  • Two $500 scholarships will be awarded. 

Deadline to turn in completed applications is April 12.

UPCOMING EVENTS at BHS

"Have a Nice Day Cafe"
The annual "Have a Nice Day" cafe will be held from Tuesday, April 23, thru Friday, April 26, in Room 322 at BHS.  Volunteers will be needed.  More information will be forthcoming.

"Staff Appreciation Lunch"
Staff Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 8, in the Faculty Lounge.  Donations of baked goods would be much appreciated.
